Senior Cup venue switched after coin toss

Friday, 30 March 2018 09:21

Just to confirm the news that was breaking on our social media avenues last night, the Huntingdonshire Football Association Senior County Cup Final has now been switched to the Premier Plus Stadium.

After an appeal by both Eynesbury Rovers and ourselves that the game should be played in the town of St Neots, thus enabling more of the local supporters easier access to the showpiece game, the County Cups Executive agreed and gave the clubs permission to toss a coin for the right to host the match. This was performed on Wednesday by Gary Wilson (St Neots Town FC Secretary) and Matt Plumb (Eynesbury Rovers Chairman) and the outcome was that the tie should be switched to the Premier Plus Stadium on Wednesday May 2nd - kick off 7:45pm.
