Looking Ahead to Biggleswade FC

Thursday, 30 January 2020 11:16

On Saturday near neighbours Biggleswade FC visit the Premier Plus Stadium for a rearranged league match.

The rise of Biggleswade FC to Step Four has been meteoric because just four seasons ago the club (along with several existing players) were a very successful U18 side plying their trade in the Thurlow Nunn Youth League. One of three clubs based in Biggleswade, our visitors are competing for local talent with Biggleswade Town (Step Three) who are their present landlords, and Biggleswade United (Step Five). Currently 13th in the league table, they have won as many games as they have lost so far, and after years of non-stop success they will be delighted to be competing at this level – the highest ever in their embryonic history.

Earlier this season our first meeting at Biggleswade resulted in a very competitive 0-0 draw and since then they have grown in confidence and are enjoying their first experience of Southern League football.
