FA Wildcats Sessions for Girls Aged 5 - 11   Less than a month to go – BOOK NOW! As part of St Neots Town Football Club's drive to support the local community, we are running a FA Wildcats Centre to support Girls getting into football. The national FA programme will see 200 SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Clubs opening throughout England this spring, each run in conjunction with the local County FA and their key partners. The move will provide girls aged from 5 to 11 with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun, engaging and safe environment over a minimum 16 week period. The project is an integral part of The FA’s objective to double girls’ football participation by 2020 and has been established in a joint partnership between The FA and SSE, supporters of girls’ football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women’s FA Cup   The SSE St Neots Town Wildcats Girls’ Football Club will take place: At: St Neots Town Football Club, Kester Way, St. Neots, Cambridgeshire PE19 6SL When: Weekly sessions on Fridays starting 21st April 2017, 5:00 – 6:00PM Contact: Tim Sergeant – Female Football Development Manager 07866 453511 Email: \n This email address is being protected from spambots. Our aim will be that this opportunity will be open to a diverse range of girls, from those just starting out to others who may play in a team – by holding our sessions on a Friday we hope not to interfere with any club training sessions and won’t be looking as this as an alternative for those involved in grassroots football already. Sessions will be based around the needs of young players and will focus on FUN, FRIENDS and FOOTBALL! Our hope is that by providing accessible football, we are able to help girls be keen to play in the future in an environment suited to them. “Girls & Women’s Football is key to ensuring we are able to provide for all looking to play in St Neots, our outstanding facilities and infrastructure give us an excellent base to do that but now it is time to turn some great ideas into a reality at St Neots Town FC” – Tim Sergeant (Female Football Development Manager) Please share with anyone you believe may also be interested using the following link:   Or for more information please contact Tim via email at: \n This email address is being protected from spambots. John Stewart, SSE’s Director of Human Resources, said: “We’re delighted to support The FA in setting up these centres, helping to deliver high quality coaching sessions across the country to the next generation of female footballers.” “At SSE we are extremely proud to be a fundamental part of supporting the grassroots game. This is a key reason for our sponsorship of the SSE Women’s FA Cup, not only are we focussed on achieving greater awareness of the sport at an elite level, equally as important we are creating more opportunities and relentlessly encouraging more girls to get involved in football.”   Mark Frost, County Secretary, said: ‘’Huntingdonshire FA are very proud to be a part of supporting the SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Club programme. Our Clubs are creating more opportunities for girls to get involved in football and a great way of having fun and keeping fit with friends.”
